Have you ever considered a career in diabetes research nursing? If you are looking
for interesting and varied work that utilizes a wide range of high level skills,
sociable hours, structured career development and great training opportunities then
this could be the job for you!
The NW London Diabetes Research Network team is working on studies involving adults,
adolescents and children with a focus on people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes,
hypertension and those at risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Research nursing offers the opportunity to combine patient care with the challenge
of the research environment. We are looking for research nurses to join our friendly,
enthusiastic team. The role will involve assessing and managing a caseload of patients
who are participating in clinical trials in the NW London region. This will include
the recruitment, education and monitoring of trial participants in line with study
protocols, guidelines and research regulations. We will provide a structured training
programme to support you in this role.
We are based at St Mary's Hospital - a short walk from Paddington station and we
link with multidisciplinary teams across NW London. The region covers eight boroughs
(Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington
& Chelsea and Westminster).
The posts would suit motivated, enthusiastic nurses who wish to pursue a career
in diabetes research. You will need to have at least six months post registration
experience and be willing to work with teams across the region.
